Montauroux is a picturesque, 17th century, village, close to Cannes and Grasse, containing a small supermarket, two butchers, a boulangerie, flower shop, hairdresser, pharmacy, newsagent, three restaurants and two bars with terraces outside. The 16th century church and the chapel of St. Barthelemy are located in the heart of the old quarter. This is an area of truly unspoilt villages, amazing views, local produce and scenic drives.
Within a very short drive are several other historic villages, many more restaurants and two supermarkets. Close by is the wonderful lake St. Cassien, perfect for swimming and windsurfing and there are several restaurants on the waters edge. Windsurfers, pedalos and sail boats are all for hire. During the week the lake is not at all crowded.
The beaches at Cannes, St. Raphael and Frejus are approximately 30 minutes away. The Villa is set in an enviable position with fine views of St Cezaire, yet another picturesque village. The villa is located just outside of the village and has a garden with olive trees shading the large expanses of flat lawn. The pool is set to one side adjacent to a covered dining area with seating around the built-in barbecue. The village is a 20 minute walk from the villa.
